Few people know what caused the Crash in 2048, but rumors are still rife in 2099. Some say a meteor, some a nuclear war, some a giant volcano, a little truth found in all the hearsay. Those old enough to remember it recall how the earth shook, the sea's rose and most of the world died. 

It has taken every part of the half century since to rebuild something vaguely resembling pre-Crash Australia. In Sydney, the scars of that terrible day are everywhere. Everywhere but Kings Cross, the tsunamis carnage hidden behind paint and neon lights.
